Using Google Webmaster Central To Increase Your Site Ranking

Google can give you lots of information about your website including: How does Google see your site? How many people found your site through search? Does your website contain errors?
Who links to your website?
How many pages have been added to the index?
and much more
It's simple to sign up and only takes a matter of minutes.
Let's verify one of our websites now. First we are given several different options of verifying that we own the domain.
I am going to choose the meta tag option. If you already have Google Analytics hooked up, chose that option instead.
Once I clicked on Add a meta tag to your site's home page, the following directions came up:
I am going to copy the meta information and put it into my website. Since I am doing this for a blog, I am going into my Blogger account, clicking on Template for that blog,
Right after the meta tags and before the head closing tag, I am going to paste my meta tag. Then I am going to publish by clicking on "Save Template Changes"
Now I am going to go back to Google and click on the Verify button just below my instructions.
Now you are all set :)
